Government Shows No Sign to Accept the "5 Demands", The first person charged with rioting to answer in court at month’s end
One of the five demands is to retract the "riot" classification of the 6.12 Rally. Despite this, a 21-year-old lifeguard is the first person charged with rioting in the 6.12 Rally to be trialed in the Wan Chai District Court on October 31. He is also charged with two counts of resisting the police.
Meanwhile, one more person is charged with assaulting the police in the 6.12 Rally. He was mentioned today in Eastern Magistrates’ Court.
Moreover, a 28-year-old car owner is charged with dangerous driving, for blocking three lanes with her car on the Harcourt Road on June 13.

Female Journalist Lost Consciousness After Being Pepper Sprayed
23:51 | #MongKok
Riot police dispersed the crowd, including press close to midnight. A female journalist was pepper-sprayed and shoved violently by the police. She fell down and lost her consciousness. Volunteer first-aiders on site tried to revive her by slapping her face, to no avail.
Some civilians at the scene shouted: “Don’t fall asleep! You can make it through!”
Since the start of the anti-extradition movement, journalists and volunteer first-aiders have been risking their lives to serve the public, while constantly being huge target boards to the police. Over the months, numerous first-aiders and members of the press have gotten injured, arrested, beaten and harassed by the police.

Editor's Note:
The above mentioned journalist was not the only one who fainted tonight after being pepper-sprayed.
Although this has not been confirmed, it is suspected that “unknown chemicals” were added to their usual pepper-spray concoction by the police. Pepper-spray causing people to lose consciousness is unheard of.

In the past, the May 1st "Golden Week" in China had meant a week of holidays to boost tourism and consumers activities. For years, Chinese tourists flooded Hong Kong on these days. This year, netizens in Hong Kong turned the name around to connote "Five Demands, Not One Less" and called for local action to support Hongkonger-owned pro-democracy businesses.

Brave One-man Protester Commemorates Airport Protests Alone and Forcibly Removed by Security
Protestors occupied the Hong Kong International Airport (#HKIA) on this day in 2019 during Anti-Extradition Bill (Anti-ELAB) movement. Netizens initiated the one-year anniversary of the unforgettable airport protest as a “Lunch with You” protest at 1 pm on August 13.
However, the only person who showed up was David, a regular “Lunch with You” protester. When he arrived at the airport bus terminal station at noon, he was dressed in blue and quickly stopped and searched by a large amount of airport security guards.
Despite the security guards' order to leave the airport, David ignored their warning. At 1 pm, he took out a blank white paper, raised hands with a gesture of “Five and One”, and shouted slogans such as” “still alive, flight till the end,” and “five demands, not one less”.
During that time, security guards continued asking him to leave. But, he was discontented and said, “I am sightseeing here. Why can’t I stay here? I am waiting for the bus.” After that, dozens of security guards forced him to go to the bus stop and pestered him for some time. A security guard instructed him to get onto a bus going to Yuen Long and surrounded the exit to stop him from getting off. He clearly stated, “I don’t have money. If you don’t let me get off, this is false imprisonment. I have a right to get off.”
Before the bus started moving, six to seven security guards got into the bus suddenly, and staff in the bus station gave a signal to the bus driver to Leave. Then, the bus left.
