Hongkongers Will Never Bow Down in the Face of Tyranny and Abuse
2019 was a year of oppression for Asia, but also of resistance. From Hong Kong students lead's of a mass movement against growing Chinese encroachment, to students in India protesting against anti-Muslim laws. From Thailand’s young voters flocking to a new opposition party, to Taiwan’s pro-LGBTI-equality demonstrations. All these examples of events covered in an annual report from Amnesty International.
Protesters across Asia were often bloodied, but never broken. They werr often stifled, but never silenced.
The report shows that the human rights situation has gotten worse very rapidly for the people of Hong Kong, with the abusive policing and suppression of promised freedom. Even though the Hong Kong government has breached the mini-constitution, the Basic Law, as well as their human rights obligations under international rights treaties, they have not be held accountable.
Hong Kong protesters are bloodied in this fight, but they will never be broken. They will never bow down in defeat in the face of tyranny and abuse.

Today is the last day of the Sapentia exhibition. Many visitors, from teens, young couples to elderly, came and experienced the selected fifteen showcases associated with the anti-ELAB movement. Besides that, a vintage typewriter was placed at the exhibition for visitors to record their feelings about the protests, the social movement, and the exhibition.
