Looking Down at the “Universal” Karma

(2 Apr) Wuhan Virus (COVID-19) has been “globalized”. Since the late George H.W. Bush was president, US has adopted the engagement policy with China for over 10 years, shifting the high cost of product with deadly land and air pollutions to China, in turn to enjoy long-term benefits of “Made in China”. Chinese Community Party (CCP) transformed Mainland China into an economic powerhouse by mobilizing 1.3 million “slaves” and took advantage of their blood and tears. Today, China finally revenged by exporting Wuhan Virus all over the world, with the Western countries crying for help desperately, which is certainly an unique scene to witness.

//The Western perception of Chinese workers’ lives as worthless, and poisoning PRC citizen in return of prosperity brought by “Globalization”, has been raving for 30 years.

//Since the Tiananmen Square protests, the label of “Made in China” has been constantly reminding the West that the world will meet this day.

//UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who accepted Huawei into the UK telecom network, initially advocated for “herd immunity” from Darwinism; he then got infected by Wuhan Virus and thereafter angered by China and planned to kick Huawei out of the said network

Authorities Ban Tiananmen Massacre Vigil for the Second Year in Hong Kong

Since 1990, Hongkongers have been organizing a candlelight vigil annually on June 4th to commemorate the victims of the Tiananmen Sqaure massacre and condemn the Chinese Communist Party for the brutal crackdown of pro-democracy citizens in 1989.

For the second year in a row, the Hong Kong police banned the June 4 vigil at Victoria Park, citing the pandemic as a reason. The authorities also banned the "lest we forget" protest planned on May 30, 2021.

The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, the vigil convenor, pointed out that commemorating June 4 is part of Hongkongers' collective memory in the past 31 years. The Alliance said that they would file an appeal.

Meanwhile, the Secretary for Security John Ka-chiu Lee insisted that any person who join, promote and announce the two events can be sentenced to jail for up to 5 years.

Shop in Hong Kong Distributes Candles In Commemoration of 32 year-mark of #June4 #TianamenMassacre

The pro-democracy kidswear store #Chickeeduck is giving out free candles from June 2 to June 4, 2021, encouraging fellow citizens to commemorate the June 4th Tiananmen Massacre on their own.

The Tsuen Wan branch has prepared 1,000 sets of candle. The store also has electric candle that writes "Support the Tiananmen Mother" to give away. The storekeeper said they came from a Tsuen Wan district councillor.

When the Tsuen Wan branch of Chickeeduck was inaugurated in May 2021, the store was raided by the national security police. When asked whether they were afraid the same thing would happen, the storekeeper said, "we are not worried, we have been following the procedures."

The Hong Kong Police has for the second year in a row banned the annual candlelight vigil commemorating the victims of Chinese Communist Party's brutal crackdown on the pro-democracy rallies at Beijing's #TiananmenSquare in 1989.

June 4, 2021 marks 32 years since the #ChineseCommunistParty government ordered the military to crack down on the pro-democracy civilians, mainly students, on Beijing's #TiananmenSquare in 1989.

The annual #CandlelightVigil held since 1990 in Hong Kong's Victoria Park has been banned for the second year by the Hong Kong Police.

At around 14:45 on June 4, 2021, the Hong Kong police cited the #PublicSecurityOrdinance and blocked six football fields, one basketball court, the central lawn and the running trail in Victoria Park.

The video captured how the police cordonned off the park's foodball field as early as at 14:00. More than 20 police vehicles and over 100 officers were also sighted near the park.

On the same day, the police has arrested two civilians, including the vice-chairperson of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, Chow Hang-tung, for allegedly promoting the commemorative event in social media.

#SocialMedia account of #China's #Xiaohongshu goes dark after #Tiananmen anniversary post

//A social media account for popular Chinese e-commerce site Xiaohongshu, or "Little Red Book," was unavailable on Sunday, after it issued a post on Friday, the anniversary of the 1989 crackdown on pro-democracy activists in #TiananmenSquare, a highly sensitive date in China.

The Friday post on its account on China's #Weibo said, "Tell me loud: what's the date today?", according to a screenshot seen by Reuters.

That post was quickly deleted by Xiaohongshu, according to a person familiar with the matter, who declined to be named given its sensitivity.

The company, backed by Chinese internet giants Alibaba (9988.HK) and Tencent (0700.HK), did not immediately reply to a request for comment...//

The Famous Reporter Jonathan Mirsky, being Beaten up in the June 4 Incident, has Passed Away at Aged 88

A famous reporter Jonathan Mirsky had passed away in Britain on September 5, at the age of 88. Jonathan had been concerning about China throughout his life. He once had a live report on the June 4th incident in Tiananmen Square. He was beaten by armed police until his left arm was broken and three teeth fell out. Jonathan has worked for The Times in Hong Kong since 1993 and resigned in 1998 due to the soft attitude to China from owner Rupert Murdoch.

During the Vietnam War, like many intellectuals at the time, Jonathan Mirsky, as a scholar, actively criticised the United States. He also opposed the United States for isolating the policies of China, which he used to believe the protest of Mao was beneficial to China. In 1972, he was invited to visit China for six weeks as a Committee of Concerned Asian Scholars member. He noticed that the organiser tried to hide a few terrible situations in China. Because of this, he changed his mind from a Mao fan to a counter-revolutionary.

China Censors Internet Show because of a Cake

The live stream of a popular Chinese KOL called Austin Li was censored in China on June 3, 2022. His Internet show was suspended reportedly due to the showcase of a cake that resembled a military tank on the eve of June 4.

On June 4, 1989, the Chinese Communist Party (#CCP) government sent troops and tanks to "clear" the pro-democracy protest at #TiananmenSquare, killing and wounding many civilians.

The said KOL did not post any news on his social media platform since; meanwhile, the "tank cake" becomes a popular search word on the Chinese Internet.
