Operators of Pro-democracy Restaurant Arrested for Possessing "Prohibited Weapons" that Do Not Belong to them
On December 5, 2020, Mr Shum and Mr Wong, two operators of the pro-democracy restaurant "Jie Gange" told reporters about the police raid in a press event.
According to them, a large group of around 20 police officers forcefully entered into the restaurant at around 21:30 on December 4, 2020, citing the enforcement of social distancing rule as a reason.
The officers checked the number of patrons in the restaurant and took measurement of the distance between tables. They said that there was no offence being found.
Moments later, police officers walked to the rooftop area and found ten some backpacks. The operators explained that these backpacks do not belong to the restaurant and they don’t know whose properties they are.
In these backpacks, police officers found retractable baton, among other things like hamlets, gas masks, press ID, and reflective vests. The Police later arrested two operators on the scene, charging them with two offences, “possession of prohibited weapons” and “possession of tools for illegal use”.
They were taken to the police station for inquiry and released in 6 am on bail for HK$3,000.

Streetside Banners of Song Lyrics for a Season of Heavy Hearts in Hong Kong
In Hong Kong, banners with social movement-themed song lyrics appeared on the streets of Mongkok over the past few weeks, in courtesy of Mongkok North District Councilor Siu Tak-kin.
He hung up these banners at locations allotted to him as a district councillor, in order to bring the locals some cheer and blessings.
Citizens joked that these banners "come with sound" and the now-familiar songs seem to play in their heads as soon as they read the lyrics.
The lyrics on the banners read:

19-year-old student files a civil claim against HK Police Force: It's a fight for justice
During the anti-ELAB movement in Hong Kong two years ago, a 19-year-old pro-democracy student, Pang Yue-him (彭裕謙) was arrested in #MongKok in November 2019 for possessing a #LaserPointer. Pang plead not guilty.
Without seeking legal representation, Pang took defence for himself in prosecution, reviewed the evidence, and cross-examined the witness in English. In June 2021, he won the court case and was acquitted.
Five months later, Pang filed a civil case at the #DistrictCourt on December 1, accusing the Hong Kong Police Force of disclosing incomplete, misleading and incorrect information which could be deemed “misrepresentation”. He claimed a remedy amounted to HK$520,000.
Handling the #CivilClaim case unrepresented, Pang openly acknowledged that the chance of winning the case is slim. He intended to carry on the court case as a fight for justice.

6 people were arrested due to organising and producing seditious publications
The police force raided a temporary market at #GinzaPlaza, #MongKok at 6pm on #Jan17, with a court warrant. The whole process took 2 hours, arresting 3 men and 3 women, a total of 6 people who are aged between 18 and 62. They are suspected to have the intention to produce seditious publications.
The police also raided related organisational stores and the residences of the arrested, collecting 43 pieces of suspicious publications and other items. The police force-emptied the stores, filling a white truck with 18 boxes of wooden chairs, hats, stamps, t-shirts and other products.
