HK Police's "Impartiality"
Two independent sources confirmed that water cannon vehicle has fired blue dye not only to the Muslim mosque but also the St Andrew's Church in Tsim Sha Tsui on Oct 20.
However, the government and police force only chose to clean the mosque and apologize to the muslims but not the St Andrew's Church and the christians. This unbalanced reaction and decision to go together with the fact that Carrie Lam is a largely-known-catholic who once claimed that "There is already a place reserved for me in heaven.”
The Anglican St Andrew’s Church was funded by Sir Catchick Paul Chater and built in 1904 with the foundation stone laid by Bishop Joseph Charles Hoare of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. Designed in Victorian Gothic style, the church is built of red brick and granite and laid on rammed earth foundations. Coloured glass in contemporary Art Nouveau style were used to build the dome-framed windows.
As one of the oldest churches of Hong Kong, St. Andrew's Church has witnessed the history of Hong Kong. It withstood several deadly typhoons and has passed through the period of Japanese occupation when it was altered as a Japanese Shrine. It was awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation in 2006.

Hong Kong: Police continue to abuse and obstruct journalists
Over the last nine months, journalists in Hong Kong have faced obstruction, interference and violence by the police while reporting. Since June 2019, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has recorded over 200 violations against the media, including cases in which journalists were targeted by anti-riot police officers, pushed to the ground, and pepper sprayed directly at faces and lens. The most concerned case must be the one that an Indonesian journalist, Ms. Veby Indah, was shot to blindness.
The IFJ strongly condemns police brutality against journalists, which did not comply with the international standard of use of force; it also demands the Hong Kong government ensure journalists’ safety, which in turn could safeguard the public’s right to access information.

Hong Kong: Police continue to abuse and obstruct journalists / IFJ
Over the last nine months, journalists in Hong Kong have faced obstruction, interference, violence, verbal abuse and humiliation by the police while reporting. Despite numerous calls by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and its affiliate,…
Prof Clifford Stott, who sat on the international expert panel advising the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) before all of its members resigned last year over concerns about its limited powers, posted an excerpt of his report on Twitter.
After the IPCC report had been published, Prof Stott utilised the data thereof and issued his scientific analysis of the evolution of the 2019 protest movement in Hong Kong.
Stott's report discusses the inter-relationships between the policing and behavioural patterns of the 2019 movement. The movement can be divided into at least 3 key phases: protests against the controversial bill, protests against mainland influence into and over Hong Kong, and protest actions targeted at the police.
Had the #IPCC report included the aforementioned components and made a fair judgment on the protests, Prof Stott would not have quit the international expert panel. What is the implication of Prof Stott's quitting? And what is the implication of the evolution of the movement in Hong Kong?
