12 U.S. Universities Received Over a Billion Dollars in Anonymous Donations from China and Russia, Which Could Lead to Technology Transfer Leakage
The U.S. government has been very concerned about Chinese communist infiltration on campuses in recent years. The U.S. Department of Education has just released a survey on 12 famous U.S. universities, saying that many of them did not declare funds from China, Russia and other "hostile countries against the U.S.". The survey also indicated that the corresponding universities received US$1.14 billion in anonymous donations from countries such as China and Russia since 2012, most of which have financial ties to high-risk national security organizations, such as Huawei.

The 12 universities, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT and other famous universities, are under investigation.

The U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee released a cross-party report at the beginning of last year, reprimanding the CCP for conducting political propaganda on U.S. campuses through Confucius Institutes.
