To express support to the ongoing movement in Hong Kong, Tibetan Women Association organised a peaceful march. While marching, the participants covered their own right eye with bloodied bandages so that they could express support to the female first aider who lost her right eye in the movement.

Due to the fact that China has been oppressing Tibetan individuals and organisations for decades, organising the peaceful march required extraordinary courage. Alongside the movement, the pain the Tibetan people suffered must not be forgotten as well.

A young German stated: “HK Police went easy on my Free Tibet T-shirt probably due to their poor English.”

Earlier this afternoon, a German born in Hong Kong, Sam, wearing a “Free Tibet” T-shirt and “Fuck Racism” face mask was intercepted and searched on Paterson Street, suspecting of violating the National Security Law.

He told reporters that the police officer searched him asked, “What is Tibet?” also asking whether he has been to Tibet. He was surprised that the officer didn’t inquire much about the T-shirt, adding it was probably due to their poor English communication skills.

The young German was later ticketed for violating gathering ban.
