#YellowStores Stand in #Solidarity as #AbouThai Opens its New Shop

The pro-democracy 'yellow' store “AbouThai” inaugurated its new branch in Mong Kok on 18 March, 2021.

The store received many encouragement from other fellow 'yellow' stores in Hong Kong. Flower baskets filled the entrance of the new store that is set up at Hollywood Plaza.

'AbouThai' was founded by pro-democracy activist Mike Lam King-Nam, who was charged with "conspiring to subvert states powers" for participating in the primary elections in 2020. He was heard in court with another 46 pro-democracy politians and activists since early March.

Lam, who was released on bail, was seen operating the shop in person. Though the store was overcrowded, Lam was friendly and never rejected requests from journalists.

The new branch of AbouThai is located at:

Shop G14-17, G/F, Hollywood Plaza, 610 Nathan Road, Mongkok, Kowloon

Opening hours: 10:00-23:00 (MON-SUN)
