The blue flag was raised in Telford Plaza last night (Dec 28). Residents stated the reason they were not leaving was that the police officers kept returning every 5 to 10 minutes. This infringement of the rights of the residents is an outright abuse of power by the police. Residents have the rights to be around their residence. However, the police considered this to be an unlawful assembly, and threatened to escalate their actions.

The government earlier announced the action to turn the Kowloon Bay Health Centre to an Wuhan Pneumonia Health Centre. Richland Gardens residents will be meeting later, to discuss and express their objection to the district councilor. Riot police were deployed near the bus stations and few places at the Richland Gardens.

The Second Day of Rally Held By Kowloon Bay Residents, Against the Government's Passive Measures in Coronavirus Outbreak

In respond to the government’s decision to convert a general out-patient clinic near Richland Gardens to a designated clinic for Chinese Pneumonia, residents in Kowloon Bay marched for the second consecutive night against the unconsulted decision.

Residents chanted: "Save Our Home!”, “Say No To Designated Clinic For Chinese Pneumonia”, “The Failed Government Kills Hong Kong” while some waived flags that read "Liberate Hong Kong, Revolution of Our Times" and "Hong Kong Independence".

Protests persisted into the second day over the government’s set-up of a specialist out-patient clinics (SOPC) location for Wuhan coronavirus patients at Kowloon East General Out-patient Clinic. The designated clinic is located within the high-density residential area, hence stirring up the fear of transmission of the contagious virus and further community outbreak.

Many more resident joined the march on the second dat, bringing along posters and flags. One placard pointed out the “government’s incompetence” in dealing with the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

Today citizens (22Feb) has organised a protest at Richland Gardens to object the government's decision of using the Kowloon Bay Healthcare Centre as a designated clinic for patients with the Wuhan Pneumonia.

The protest started at 2135 by celebrating with champagne for the police officer who got the Wuhan Pneunomia.

Citizens held posters and chanted, objecting the government's unconsulted decision.
