On 20 October 2019, s water cannon vehicle deployed by the Hong Kong Police shot at the Kowloon Mosque, even when no protestor was there.
The front gate of the Mosque and people nearby were stained by the blue water. This enraged the ethnic minorities and the Islamic community in Hong Kong.
Mohan Chugani, a 74-year old former chairman of the India Association Hong Kong, said, “It is very simple. If there is nothing I can do, then we will understand that Hong Kong has become a police state. This is the only conclusion.”
