P&G Researched New Technology with Chinese Traders to Bypass Apple’s Privacy Policy, Tracking iPhone User Data
Wall Street Journal quoted from sources that large consumer goods group, P&G, participates in developing a new technology to bypass Apple’s new privacy policy to collect iPhone user data for targeting advertisement. That technology is testing in China.
Compare to television and street advertising in the past, advertisers and merchants have sent out some targeted advertisements to attract consumers by collecting and analysing usage habits and preferences of users for ten years to increase marketing effectiveness. As the public cares more about personal privacy in recent years, some technology companies also tighten the policy to protect user’s privacy.
However, similar policies cannot stop enterprises from providing such targeted advertisements. Wall Street Journal stated that US multinational consumer goods leading enterprise P&G, multinational accounting companies Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, and market research company Nielson are all participating in the new technology development to bypass Apple’s existing privacy policy which limits the collection of user's data.

Apple censors engraving service, report claims
Apple censors references to Chinese politicians, dissidents and other topics in its engraving service, a report alleges.
Citizen Lab said it had investigated filters set up for customers who wanted something engraved on a new iPhone, iPad or other Apple device.
And Apple had a broad list of censored words, not just in mainland China but also in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Apple said its systems "ensure local laws and customs are respected".
