Help from Vietnamese - Karma between Hong Kong and Vietnamese

(21 Feb) During my trip at Poland, I was impressed at a meeting with some Hong Kong students who were studying at Poland. It was found a local powerful and sizable Vietnam syndicates fully supported the protest of Anti-extradition Bill held by Hongkongers at Poland, the local PRC students thus dared not to create disturbance. Such support was because the Vietnamese would like to thank Hong Kong for receiving Vietnamese refugees and eligible Vietnamese migrants years ago. Learning international relationship is so practicable!

Vietnamese sing "Glory to Hong Kong" with T-shirts written 'FREE HONG KONG'

In January, a group of Vietnamese sing "Glory to Hong Kong", the anthem of the 2019 Hong Kong protests, in a concert held in the United States.

Someone always remember the aid from Hong Kong in the past.

To translate briefly the lady's speech:
They want to express the gratitude of the Vietnamese people towards Hong Kong, as shown on their T-shirts. In the 1970s, among the 900,000 Vietnamese who fleed by sea in pursuit of freedom, 200,000 of them arrived in Hong Kong (she was a bit emotional at this moment).

She said, 'Hong Kong has never said no to those Vietnamese, nor has repatriated them.'

Young people in Hong Kong today share the same fate as the #Vietnamese back then. Both have to fight for #freedom and #democracy with blood and lives. It is heartbreaking to watch Hong Kong's retrogression, yet her power is limited. Therefore Vietnamese people express their support by singing the Vietnamese version of “Glory to Hong Kong”, which is considered by the young generation in Hong Kong as Hong Kong's national anthem (quốc ca của Hồng Kông).

In the end, everyone turned on the flashlights of their mobile phones to show the world their support to Hong Kong.
