Peter said he has been residing in Hong Kong for 30 years, is a permanent resident of Hong Kong. He proudly said in Cantonese, “I’m a Hongkonger”. Ever since the June 4 incident in China in 1989, Peter has been participating in various protests in Hong Kong. He has been joining with Jeremiah, who cosplaed as Joker since June 9, to continue their protests on street together. Peter said, they were fully dressed up today in order to launch their first signature campaign, putting pressure on government to honor the “Joint Declaration”. He believed that only by complying with the Joint Declaration, would Hong Kong then be granted with “high-level of autonomy”. He reiterated that “this is the action you must take.”

Peter futher pointed out that “Joker” has a complicated personality, which they used tactically, could actually be an accurate representation of many youngsters who concerned and worried about Hong Kong, and even suffered mental disorder. He hoped that this “Joker” could help the Government to reflect on current situation in Hong Kong. He asked for the SAR and Chinese government to face the problem, saying that “the CPC has to decide its future, it is getting crazier.” and return democracy to Hongkongers.

Lastly, Peter said light-heartedly, “I am an old man. But we have to fight for the next generation.”
