June 4 Vigil Held Outside of Lai Chi Kok Detention Centre

In the face of “National Security Law” and “gathering ban”，the June 4 Vigil, held annually in the memory of victims of Tiananmen Square Massacre, was banned this year, making it the first time it has been banned in 30 years.
The Hong Kong Alliance, in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China called on the public to uphold the “candle-lit” tradition, including those pro-democracy protesters currently being detained for participating in anti-ELAB activities.
An informal gathering was arranged this evening (June 3) outside of the Lai Chi Kok Detention Centre for supporters to mourn and pay tribute to the Massacre victims.
