Citizens could be heard shouting slogans like, "Hong Kong Independence is the Only Way Out" outside SOGO.

The purple flag is then raised. The PTU commander also requested people to stop speaking the foul language, otherwise, they would employ force to disperse.

Police Intervened Pro-democracy Activities; Legislator Stopped from Setting Apporved Street Booths

At around 1300, after arresting LegCo councilorAndrew Wan, police approached other street booths, demanding Lam Cheuk-ting to pack and leave. Lam stated his street booth was authorized and approved in advance. Yet, police ignored his explaination and shouted to citiznes, accusing them of participating in an unauthorized assembly. Blue flag was raised many times.

Afterwards, police hoisted the purple flag to district councilor Roy Tam, stating he was violating the Hong Kong National Security Law, and hea and Lee Cheuk-yan were "inciting others emotionally".

Police hoisted blue flag again after civilians on spot chanted slogens, and clashed with Lee Cheuk-yan. Pepper spray was used, and several journalists felt unwell afterwards.
