Citizens commemorate death of Hong Kong as National Security Law came into force
The National Security Law had been officially incorporated into the Basic Law as Appendix 3 late last night. Many Hong Kong citizens regarded it as an end of the city's autonomy as it officially entered into an era of “one country one system”.
Some citizens set up an altar for passers-by to commemorate the “Death of Hong Kong”. Next to the altar, a small poster that read “May Heaven wipe out CCP” was erected.
