Happy Mother's Day: Mother Requests Child With Asthma to Be Sent to Hospital; Request Ignored By Police

A mother could be seen requesting for her 12-year-old to be sent to the hospital due to lack of medication for her asthma condition. However, legislator Ted Hui Chi-fung's request for help, who was nearby, directed towards the police went unheard.

The mother and her child lived nearby and was going out to have a late night meal, when they were later separated when the police surrounded her.

Reporters asked two homeless persons around the public toilet if they witnessed what the police did at the female public toilet. They said they heard multiple screams and exclamations of pain.

During the time, the police also swept the elderly and minorities away from the park.

Acording to PSHK reporter, an ambulances where 2 riot police rode on stopped outside the female public toilet.

The public female toilet has been reopened, but police officers still guarded the outside. However, knocking sounds from the toilet persist.

Reporters entered the female toilet and discovered massive amount of tissue filled with fresh red blood stain in the trash can in the 12th cubicle.

From the spotted blood, the tissues were believed to have been used to apply pressure on wounds. The amount of blood was estimated to be substantial in view of the large amount of blood-stained tissue.

Hong Kong Police Oppress Civilians on Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, police conducted mass arrest in multiple districts. Civilians chanted protest slogans and sang songs in shopping malls in Tsim Sha Tsui, Mongkok, Tai Koo, Shatin, Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long.

In Tsim Sha Tsui, police took away a 13-year-old student reporter after mocking him. The boy said "Happy Mother's Day" to his mother outside the police station.

In Mongkok, police besieged and terrified civilians and reporters, ordering them to "cry louder". Police also disallowed a mother from bringing an ashma inhaler to save her teenage daughter, pushing the mother close to a nervous breakdown.

Police assaulted and arrested legislator Roy Kwong brutally by pressing his head with their knees. Male police officers not only trespassed the female public toilet, but also swept away the civilians at Sai Yee Street Park.

Police Press Reporter's Head into Pepper-sprayed Liquid on the Ground

On May 11 at around 11:20pm, 50 civilians including TMHK reporter were encircled by the riot police at the intersection of Shantung Street and Sai Yeung Choi Street South. Police ordered all civilians to kneel on the ground and the detention lasted more than an hour.

According to TMHK reporter, riot police kept pepper-spraying pepper, forming and trapping the pungent liquid on the ground. Police then pressed the reporter's head on the ground for a certain duration, causing burnt and pain on his head, neck and back.

Police rough up a woman, then flee the scene

As Special Tactics Squad (Raptor) officers charged past a bus stop on Nathan Road in Mongkok at around 10pm, several of them grabbed a middle-aged woman by her head and began shoving her around.

They only let her go after several bystanders began calling them out: "Raptors are beating up a woman!"

The police left without detaining the woman or laying charges. The reason of their assaulting of the woman remained unknown.

May 10 is Mother's Day.
