Policemen agitated as they claim reporters obsturct their work

1624 | #YauMaTei
In Yau Ma Tei, verbal and physical clashes occured between police and journalists, as the police dispersed the reporters in agitation. The policeman shouted at the group of reporters right in front of them through a microphone, ”You’re obstructing police in their duty. Stand back immediately!” A female police officer questioned, in hostility, a reporter’s identity as she focused her camera on them, and ask why the reporter was at the scene.

Soon after, the blue warning flag was raised, and a policeman accused people in front of him, who were mainly journalists, as participating in illegal assembly. The reporters were demanded to disperse and “move to the opposite side of the road to continue filming”.

Another citizen reasoned, "If you keep us here, more and more people will be crowding and then be construed as your 'illegal assembly.'" People could finally leave, only to be greeted by a cop yelling randomly as they left.
