Police Respond After Shoving and Injuring Reporter: The Scene Was Chaotic

On 8 March, police arrested a huge number of civilians during the memorial held in Tseung Kwan O for the death of Chow Tsz-lok, a suspected victim of police brutality.

A female reporter from i-Cable news was shoved by the riot police with shield and suffered from a head injury and tinnitus.

In response to the enquiry from Stand News, the Hong Kong Police Force only responded that the scene was crowded and chaotic. Other than expressing its regrets, police claimed that the press shall listen to police’s advice and keep a distance from police officers. iCable News said the explanation is unacceptable and requested an investigation of the incident and information of the police officers at the scene. iCable News expressed its regret over police’s simple reply that has avoided the facts.
