Youtube Censorship: San Francisco Hong Kongers & YouTubers protested outside at Youtube headquarters 1/2
"Yellow tag" is a marker of videos which contain improper content like sexual, horror and copyrights problems. Youtubers don’t get paid a single penny no matter how high the hit rate of that video is if it is "yellow tag". Youtubers cannot gain any income even their videos with “Yellow tag” are on the top list. But then Youtube Official site has never defined the standard for it to be "yellow tag".
Many videos with sexual scenes and politics are marked with the "Yellow Tag". However, videos which do not contain any sensitive content are commonly marked with “Yellow tag”, as AI cannot deferentiate nature of videos accurately.
Under such mechanism, white terror emerges. As income can be severely affected, some Youtubers are avoid to talk about “Yellow tag” related topics on Youtube.

Many Youtubers avoid to demonetize videos mentioning Wuhan Coronavirus after their video are marked with "yellow tags", even for videos educating people about Covid19 and personal hygiene. Most of them agree that such censorships only make pandemic worse.
Don, ex-organizer of Google, claimed that most of the managers in charge of Chinese department in Youtube are mainland Chinese. So, they are more alerted to the words forbidden by the Chinese Communist party, such as Independant of Tibet. They are particularly strict on videos of these topics. He said that he has been picking on by others as he post a poster of "Five demands, not one less" in his office.
