15 nurses take sick leave to pressurize the government for a full border closure
Dissatisfied with the government’s response to the Wuhan pneumonia outbreak with respect to border control, 15 nurses in intensive treatment ward at the Eastern Hospital collectively asked for sick leave, in an attempt to assert pressure on the HKSAR government and calling for full implementation of entry restrictions on the Chinese mainland visitors.

Breaking! The quarantine camps are shambles to spread the virus!
(05 Feb) I am a nurse who has been working in a quarantine camp and I wish to tell everybody this.
As long as I was on duty, I needed to stay in the camp. My room was right next to the rooms with suspected patients and quarantined patients.
When I was working I was already in constant fear, and even when I was sleeping and resting, I was also stressed.
And in the camp, hygiene is really bad. There were stains on the bedsheets and I wasn't sure if the bedsheets had been properly sanitized and I couldn’t get enough rest.
We are all nurses under the Department of Health (DoH). On the first day in camp, we were on duty from 9 am to 5 pm; on the second day we worked from 2 pm to 11 am on the next day! So we were locked inside between two shifts for a total of 21 hours without being able to go out!
And then the next day, we had to go back to work at public clinics.
Yes, you get me right, we were sent back to the city to work in the clinics. Who goes to clinics under the DoH? Literally everybody! The general public, civil servants, and we also have Maternal and Child Health Centres for babies and mothers!
I am so worried that I would become a 'super spreader'.
No matter how difficult this is, I will fight this outbreak with you all together!
Carrie Lam, this asshole, she really wants everybody dead.
