Sources said Chinese from Wuhan with Pneumonial Symptoms Rushed to Hong Kong Hospitals for Treatment

Based on stories circulated in the internet and information provided by frontline medical staff, it was said that on January 23 several dozen Chinese mainlanders requested medical attention at Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong.

Many are visitors from Wuhan with symptoms of Wuhan pneumonia, including fever and coughs. It has been suspected that Chinese visitors from Wuhan had penetrated the border screening between Hong Kong and China, in order to rush to Hong Kong hospitals for treatment.

Some medical staff stated that when a couple from China with high risk of having the new coronavirus were requested to stay in the quarantine ward for further observation, the couple refused and ran out of the hospital. They were only to be intercepted and brought back into the hospital.
