3 new cases of Novel Coronavirus in Zhuhai, China

According to the Hygiene and Health Department of Zhuhai, 3 new cases of New SARS was confirmed, otherwise known as the Wuhan Pneumonia.

The Beijing News reported that the cases are a family of three, in which the parents arrived at their daughter’s residence at Zhuhai from Wuhan on #Jan11. The 78-year-old father fell ill, who was later confirmed to be a suspected case and admitted to the Fifth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University for isolation. Subsequently, the mother and daughter started to develop symptoms like a high temperature, who were sent for isolation on #Jan18. Shortly after, their conditions were also diagnosed as having the New SARS.

Chinese authorities: 77 New Cases of Novel Coronavirus Infection in China

According to China's Health Commission, 77 new cases of novel coronavirus infection were confirmed on January 21, of which 72 cases came from Hubei province, 2 in Shanghai, 3 in Beijing. In total, 291 cases are reported in China.

Chinese Health Authorities: Wuhan patients as super-speaders of new coronavirus

Epidemic preventive measures
have been strengthened in Wuhan and Guangdong province, China.

In Wuhan, where the new pneumonia originated from, municipal government announced access control on January 21 covering travel tours. 2,000 hospital beds were reserved, private cars coming or leaving the city were spot-checked for the presence of live birds or wild animals.

In Guangdong Province, 30 designated hospitals were set up to receive patients with the new pneumonia virus in Wuhan; medical staff were asked to cancel vacations leave.

Zhong Nanshan, an expert of the National Health and Health Commission, said that patients who transmitted the virus to multiple medical staff in Wuhan can be identified as super communicators. He also said that there is no specific cure for the disease yet at this very moment.

First Case Confirmed in Macau and the U.S.; Over 400 Cases of Wuhan Pneumonia Around the World

Thailand confirmed one more new of the novel coronavirus infection, adding up to 3 cases in the country. On the same day, the United States confirmed their first case and the patient had been to Wuhan, China.

Macau also had its first case confirmed. The patient crossed the China-Macau border and had mainly stayed in a casino in Macau.

Two more people in Hong Kong test positive for Wuhan virus
