#Brazil Health Regulator Condemns China For Not Being Transparent

Brazil health regulator #Anvisa releases a statement, criticising that China’s health authorities were not transparent and didn’t provide any information of the criteria for the approval of the emergency use of COVID-19 vaccine developed by China SinoVac Biotech Ltd since June 2020.

China's #SinoVac is conducting the phase 3 tests in different locations, such as Brazil, Indonesia and Turkey, but it doesn’t publish any testing result and efficacy of the vaccine.

The vaccine trial had been suspended because one of the volunteers died. After investigation, the authorities claimed the cause of death was "not related" to the vaccine.
