Police Hit Reporter by Baton for Seven Times in Mongkok

At 0036, around 40 riot Police were standing-by at the scene.  Reporters expressed that, earlier on, police took a reporter from Mad Dog Daily to the Police car and hit him by baton for 7 times. 

At 0037, when charging, Police asked reporters following them "Out of breath? Training can help you run longer time."

At 0045, police through the loud speaker shouted, "Go! Go home and sleep.  Your mom is looking for you. Your dad is also looking for you."

Baptist University Student Reporter hit in the right eye

Police fired multiple rounds of teargas on Portland Street. One of the canisters hit a reporter straight in his right eye. The injured is a reporter for the Baptist University Newsletter. An ambulance has been called to site.

Riot Police's Trousers Catch Fire When Putting Out Fire

At the cross section of Nathan Road and Shan Tung Street, a riot police officer tried to put out a fire using a fire extinguisher and water. Another officer tried to step on the fire to put it out. Not only did he fail, but his trousers caught fire. The bystanders were greatly amused.

Police Agressively Drag Arrestee Behind a Pole

At 0055, police dragged an arrestee behind a pole, making it impossible for those at the scene to see how the arrestee was treated.  The rest of the riot police were shouting for civilians to disperse.   

At 0100, Riot police fired 2 tear gas canisters without any warning. 

At 0103 Once again, riot police fired 5 tear gas canisters.

When Asked for the Arrestee's Name, Police: His Name is Cockroach

At the intersection of Shan Tung Street and Portland Street, a man was arrested and his hands were zip tied. When bystanders asked him for his name, the police replied, "His name is cockroach".

Riot Police Make Arrest in Restaurant and Threaten to Arrest Reporters

At 0148, the Raptors unit budged into a restaurant in Mongkok and subdued civilians at the scene. 

At 0149, Riot Police intimidated and yelled at the reporters in an extremely harsh tone, "Move away, or we will arrest you!"  

At 0154 Police pointed their guns at the bystanders and reporters 

At 0206, police charged forward and yelled, "Pleading for help already? Losers!"

2 million + 1 People March for Hong Kong's Freedom and Rights on June 16

Six months ago, tens of thousands of protesters carry posters and banners to oppose the government's plan to pass the extradition bill, which would allow extradition to China.

Although the bill was finally withdrawn in early September, disappearance cases continue to take place where Hong Kong residents were allegedly abducted by Chinese authorities. Proven cases include ex-staff of the British Consulate-general Simon Cheng who was detained and tortured in China. On December 14, a man was also reported missing after crossing the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge.
