Telegram is currently having issues with the bot API - many bots appear to be affected, including the werewolf bots and executrix. We will disable new games until the problem seems to be resolved.

Today, on 18th of March, the first creation of @werewolfbot was exactly 9 years ago! We made it to nearly a decade of Telegram wuffing!
To celebrate this, we have just released 9 new achievements - enjoy trying to get them and happy wuffing! 🐺

Our bots are currently not working. I am assuming that this is a problem on Telegram's side, since our server is running just fine.
The problem is likely to resolve itself soon enough.
In the meantime, do not flood bot commands. It doesn't help, it only takes longer and gets you banned.

That puts the strength of the crackdown there into perspective.

10 years of (almost :P) continuous operation, lots of fun, friendships, dramas and lowly villagers being eated.
The exact date of @werewolfbot's birth is March 18th, 2016. So in the few days until then, we would like to take you on a small journey through time, allowing you to see what playing werewolf was like 10 years ago. It was... different.
Starting right now, you get to experience a hint of the original werewolf experience as of May 2016, when the bot was starting to grow massively.

You may have noticed throughout the event: There have been no new roles in over 7 years! 😱
This is mostly due to the fact that the developers got busy with real life. Also, the 42 existing roles already allow for a high variety of games and we do not want to bloat the bot.
BUT:
For the 10th anniversary, we are releasing two brand new roles for you all! Hype!
⚠️ NOTE: BETA BOT ONLY FOR NOW! Will release on @werewolfbot soon.
The Chef 🍚
Always carries a bowl of rice. At daytime, they scatter some rice in one person's doorway. The next morning, they get up early and check the rice for footprints, to find out if that player has left the house at night, and how many people visited that player.
The Barkeep 🍸
Has a bar as a house. At night, the bar is open for all lowly villagers 👨 to enter and drink some beer. Each villager has a random chance of going to the bar each night, with the probability decreasing in larger villages (more players). Once a villager goes to the bar for the third time, they become a Drunk 🍺, and get to know the barkeep's name and vice versa.
IMPORTANT: These new roles and achievements are only on BETA BOT for now. Come play in @werewolfgame, @werewolfvets, or other beta groups to try them out!
As soon as they are tested a little, we will release them to @werewolfbot for everyone.
