1. Publicly called Musk “crazy” and said, “I asked him to leave,” claiming Musk “just went CRAZY” after Trump removed the EV mandate and that Musk is only upset because he lost government support for electric vehicles
2. Expressed deep disappointment: “I’ve aided him significantly. Look, Elon and I had a fantastic rapport. I can’t say if that will continue. I was taken aback”.
3. Accused Musk of knowing all about the bill and not objecting until after he left the administration: “He knew everything about it. He had no problem with it”.
4. Threatened to terminate all government contracts and subsidies for Musk’s companies, saying, “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”. (Truth Social post)
5. Blamed Musk’s criticism on losing the EV tax credits: “Elon is upset because we implemented the E.V. mandate, which was a considerable sum for electric vehicles, and they’re struggling—the electric vehicles—and they expect us to provide billions in subsidies. RBI Tries To Push Growth Hard !
1. 50 bps cut (only 1 economist out of 34 got it right)
2. CRR cut by 100 bps to 3%
3. RBI stance, however, was changed to neutral
Other Changes
4. FY'26 inflation projection cut to 3.7% YoY vs 4%
5. Maintains FY'26 GDP target at 6.5%
What is perplexing to many is RBI stance at neutral - there were no mention of pace for further cuts. Guv noted that front loading of cuts to support growth felt necessary.
