The first Greater Idaho Convention of Counties was a SUCCESS! Thanks to everybody who came from both sides of Oregon to represent their counties and help make Greater Idaho a reality.
Rep. Mark Owens represents Baker, Lake, Harney, Malheur and Grant counties. All five counties' voters have passed Greater Idaho measures, yet at a recent Harney Co. event he said he wouldn't do anything to move Greater Idaho forward. We think he owes his constituents an explanation.
Eastern Oregon Senators walked out because the policies being pushed by the legislature are not tolerable to their constituents. Voters supported the move and would vote for them again if they could. Yet another reason Eastern Oregon would be better off in Idaho.

The Crook County campaign has begun! If you have highway frontage and want a banner like this, contact us and we can help you get one set up. And be sure to stop by Grizzly Mtn. RV and grab yard signs for your home or business to let everyone know that you will be voting yes on Greater Idaho!
On Monday, Wallowa County commissioners wrote letters to the Governors of Oregon and Idaho as well as both state legislatures, asking them to take up the Geater Idaho discussion. We agree. Voters in 12 counties have already spoken. It's time for Governor Kotek and the Oregon legislature to hear them out.
Congratulations to Crook County on becoming the 13th eastern Oregon county to pass a Greater Idaho measure. Time for the Oregon legislature to step up and open border talks!

Today we invited Governor Kotek to sit down and meet with our leadership team to discuss moving the border. The people have spoken. It's time for elected leaders to act.
From the very beginning, eastern Oregonians didn't want to be grouped with western Oregon but couldn't outvote the population centers of the west side.  167 years later we are still trying to chart our own path, but are being stopped by elected leaders that don't represent us.   Read more about how Oregon's border came to be at https://greateridaho.org/view/80 and help eastern Oregonians get the government we actually want and vote for.
Wednesday Crook County became the 8th county to request legislative action in moving the border. See the letter and read the press release at https://www.greateridaho.org/view/83
