Microsoft splited Office and Teams...

...after many years of criticism from the EU over the different services that it offers. Slack sued Microsoft for selling bundles as part of Office 365 and denying such customers of access to Teams. The rivals described the strategy as "robbery" using Microsoft's dominant position.

In a couple of months, the availability of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 in their "without Teams" version will enable businesses as well as multinational companies to be able to customize their software suites to their specific requirements.
