A Canadian study says lower general intelligence in childhood predicts greater racism and prejudice in adulthood.

Simplified: People who hate on other people for being different are very often simple minded because they are not smart enough to change their way of thinking.

On November 2, 1930 Ras Tafari Makonnen was crowned Emperor Haile Selassie.

Celebrated abroad as a symbol of African independence, his decades in power included policies and actions that persecuted Harari people, forcing many from their homes.

He was exiled during Italyโ€™s invasion, returned to restore Ethiopian sovereignty, he was ultimately removed and murdered by a military coup in 1974 amid famine, repression, and widespread suffering.
Eritrea later won independence in 1993.

The Rastafari movement regards him as a messianic figure.

A quipu (khipu) was a knottedโ€‘cord system used by the Inca and other Andean peoples to record numbers, dates and accounts without alphabetic writing. Using colored strings and different knot types, quipu encoded precise numerical data and may also have represented narrative or mnemonic information. They are not used as a formal recordโ€‘keeping system today, though some cultural knowledge and use of knotted cords persists locally and researchers continue to study them.

Chevrolet was founded on November 3, 1911, by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant.

Chevroletโ€™s first cars (1912) and Durantโ€™s later business moves helped shape the long competition between Ford and Chevrolet which drove innovation and expanded the US auto industry.

Milk fabric โ€” made from casein (milk protein) โ€” dates back to late 19thโ€‘century experiments and 1930s commercial fibres.
Production is currently limited and costlier than cotton, but itโ€™s prized for comfort, sustainability, and compostability. All this is done by turning surplus milk into yarns used for soft, biodegradable garments and even antibacterial medical textiles.

During WWII German Cocaโ€‘Cola bottlers, operating under Nazi rule and cut off from U.S. syrup, made Fanta from leftovers (apple fibers, whey, sugar beet). Named from โ€œFantasie,โ€ production stopped after the war but Fanta was reintroduced as an orange soda in Naples in 1955. Now Fanta has 200+ flavors.

2025 is a harshad number year;
Digit check: 2+0+2+5 = 9, and 2025 รท 9 = 225 โ€” so itโ€™s a Harshad number (an integer divisible by the sum of its digits).

It's also a square year;
2025 = 45^2 โ€” a square year. 45 = T9 (1+2+...+9), so itโ€™s the square of a triangular number; also T44+T45 = 990+1035 = 2025.
