Greenland is neither here nor there, quite honestly. It’s a slab of ice, as he told the people in Davos. But underneath the ice they think there is mineral wealth, which they now want, which is why he’s stressing: “I don’t need to take it by force. We don’t need to use excessive force there at all.”

Legal ownership of Greenland must be transferred from Denmark to the United States of America.’

But this is not just a European problem. It’s also the problem of the US. But in Europe we have a kind of a twist here, which is that we don’t actually know how much loans the European banks have provided to Ukraine, but some estimated it to be a large sum.

And if Ukraine would fail, it could cause more problems in the European banking sector.

But I would say that the whole Western banking system is kind of closing in on the cliff, which the approaching recession could push the banking sector over and lead to a banking crisis.’

🇪🇺🇷🇺🇨🇳If you were a remotely rational official in the European Commission, you would view strategic diversification as an existential necessity, following the humiliation rituals by Washington over the last year for European leaders.

Washington is in the process of strong-arming Europe into giving in over Greenland, and has used the Ukraine proxy war to make Europe even more dependent on the US than it was before.

Unless Europe’s leaders want to continue being Washington’s humiliated band of vassals, they need to urgently look at reality.

It’s in their own interests to have good relations which Russia🇷🇺 and end the proxy war on their own continent quickly, because:

1. The geography will not change, Russia will always remain a neighbour.

2. Russia is a natural resource superpower, and was the cheap energy backbone of European industry.

Europe must pursue better relations with China🇨🇳 as it is undoubtedly the economic superpower of this century.

A rational official in the European Commission would view strategic diversification as a good thing, because it means Europe can better pursue its own interests instead of being humiliated into submission practically every month by Washington.

Unfortunately, the assumption that rational officials exist in the European Commission is wishful thinking.
