‘When they talk about the next target being Türkiye, part of what they’re trying to do is to create an equation where Turkey will be isolated and then Israel can go after Turkey. I’m not saying that’s the military plan for the next five years, but that is what they are now putting on the agenda.

And when you go and speak to government officials around the world, they will often say, depending on where you are, of course, we just had the Israelis in town. Wow. They were talking about Turkey the same way they talked about Iran 10-20 years ago.

Now that is partly why I think not just Turkey, but a whole host of states in the region are saying, whoa, wait a minute. The most revanchist, radicalising, destabilising actor in the region today is Israel, because it has this extremely overambitious agenda of how it wants to reshape the region.

What Israel’s betting is that even if that conversation is beginning to take place, the states of the region won’t be able to come together to offer any kind of collective containment or deterrence of Israel and therefore that Israel will be able to advance this project. That’s the bet it is placing.’

REMINDER: Netanyahu clearly said he is on a ‘historical and spiritual mission’ and says he connects with the Greater Israel vision ‘very much’.

🚨Former Pentagon Advisor Jim Rickards on Strait of Hormuz Crisis: MASS STARVATION & INDUSTRIAL COLLAPSE Are Next.’

'The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for 56 days. That's 20% of the world's oil and energy, and a high percentage of the world's liquid natural gas.

When the war started on February 28th, there were oil tankers already headed for South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and India. I call it a floating pipeline. That pipeline has now gone to zero.

Nine weeks in, we're going to start seeing refineries and industrial plants shut down. And this is not like throwing a switch you can turn back on. Even if the Persian Gulf opened tomorrow, which it will not, it could take weeks or months to get refineries going again.

For the Global South, the crisis runs deeper. They're heavily dependent on nitrates from the Persian Gulf for fertiliser. This is the planting season. If you can't fertilise the fields, you can't plant your crops. We're looking at potential mass starvation on top of industrial collapse.'

🚨Why the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz will cause MASS STARVATION & INDUSTRIAL COLLAPSE:

Over 30% of global urea, the fertiliser that produces most of the world’s corn and wheat, is exported through the Strait of Hormuz. A global urea shortage means an inability for nations to produce crops at scale. Higher fuel costs make what’s left unaffordable.

3.4 billion people live in countries already spending more on debt than on health or education. Prolonged higher energy costs could result in less spending on public services, and worse, financial collapse for indebted states.

Since 20% of the world’s oil and gas transits through the Strait of Hormuz, usually 20 million barrels per day, and pipelines bypassing the Strait only have a maximum capacity of approximately 8 million barrels per day, the math is crushing…

There is no alternative and the gap is simply unbridgeable. A global industrial collapse is unavoidable if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.

About 85% of polyethylene exports from the Middle East go through the Strait. Shortages and backlogs will raise the price of packaging, automotive components, and consumer goods.

The semiconductor industry and Taiwan’s vulnerability: Roughly 37% of its LNG comes from the Middle East through Hormuz. TSMC produces approximately 90% of the world’s most advanced chips. Prolonged closure of the Strait could result in the collapse of the AI and advanced technology industry.

🚨Former Pentagon Advisor Jim Rickards: 'The US🇺🇸 and Russia🇷🇺 Are Building a Global Oil DUOPOLY.'

'Russia pivoted after 2022 sanctions and started selling oil to China instead of Germany. That relationship has expanded, but it is not big enough to replace what we are talking about: the oil tankers and seaborne cargoes.

China is even more vulnerable than the Persian Gulf situation suggests, because the United States has struck a very high-level military alliance with Indonesia, which controls the Strait of Malacca.

Trump may actually want the Strait of Hormuz closed. The United States has said that even if Iran declared free commerce tomorrow, the US Navy is still sitting there.

Look at the bigger picture. The United States has taken over Venezuelan oil. By extension, they have Guyana's oil. They are opening up Alaska, issuing oil and natural gas drilling permits as fast as they can and have taken control of the Panama Canal from China. The Strait of Hormuz is closed.

If you do not have oil from the Persian Gulf, you can pretty much only get it from the US and Russia.'

🚨Alastair Crooke: US🇺🇸 move to control Middle East’s and Venezuela’s oil is to avert its own FINANCIAL CRISIS

‘The US needs collateral to underpin all of these liabilities on their bank sheets. And so they need resources.

They need the oil of Venezuela, they need the Arctic, they need the Middle Eastern resources partly, just to reinforce, because when you get to the end of your leverage, you can’t give more credit until you get more assets on your balance sheet.

And so they want the assets of Venezuela and the Middle East on their balance sheets so they can lend more and therefore take more resources, buy and lend to countries that have resources and then use those for further expansion.

Everything is about expansion. America thrives on expansion. And so all of these things are connected by that.

America is getting overwhelmed by its deficits and is getting anxious and very antsy about the fact that there seem to be problems in the credit markets, in the shadow banking area, in things we’ve seen like subprime auto loans now, a number of companies have gone bankrupt, so they don’t know what’s there.

And so I think that’s why they’re trying to pull in money as fast as they can.’

🚨Former Pentagon Advisor Jim Rickards: 'The BRICS Currency Is Called GOLD and Russia🇷🇺 Proved It Works.'

‘The BRICS have a currency. It is called gold. BRICS have the institutions. They replicated the Bretton Woods institutions on their own terms. They have the New Development Bank, which is the equivalent of the World Bank. They have a Contingent Reserve Fund, which is the equivalent of the IMF. They have built up their own payment channels.

If you want the yuan to be the global reserve currency, it has nothing to do with the currency itself. It has everything to do with the bond market. Show me the Chinese bond market. It scarcely exists.

Officially, India’s gold holdings are relatively modest compared to the United States, Russia and China. The big winner in gold is Russia. That is one of the ways they got through the Ukraine War sanctions. At the beginning of the war in Ukraine in 2022, Russia had about $600 billion in reserves. $150 billion of that was in physical gold bullion. That helped Russia weather the storm.

The US, EU and NATO seized about $200 billion of Russian reserve assets held in custody in Brussels. It was completely illegal, but they did it. It hurt Russia to some extent. But ironically, that seizure caused a run to the gold market.'
