There’s always some other bigger ism that the CIA is concerned about. And so it was perfectly happy to allow cocaine to flood into the United States in the 1980s during the Iran-Contra affair, just as it was perfectly happy to allow Afghanistan to provide 93% of the world’s heroin once the United States began its occupation of Afghanistan.’

They were given classified briefings by CIA Counterterrorism Center analysts, and in exchange they gave those analysts watches and free tickets to the premiere of the film.

Well, they should all be in prison for that. Technically that’s a violation of the Espionage Act. Instead, the film was celebrated as a victory at the CIA.’

‘I’ve said many times that if you want to know what American military intentions are, watch naval movements. This is something that I learned at the CIA.

We can yell and scream and point the finger and tell countries we’re going to invade them, but we’re not unless we send enough naval assets to cover what’s needed in terms of supply and aircraft carriers.

An aircraft carrier battle group, for example, has 11 support ships, battleships, troop transports, supply ships, and of course the aircraft carrier itself is full of fighter jets.

So if the United States is serious about doing something, it’s going to send an aircraft carrier battle group. And indeed, what did it do?

It sent the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier battle group to the coast of Venezuela. So which Donald Trump are we going to see? Are we going to see the America First, non-intervention Donald Trump, or the neocon Donald Trump?

And the truth of the matter is we’re not at war with Venezuela. Venezuela hasn’t done anything to us. They haven’t attacked us.

These drugs that we’re supposedly destroying or intercepting or whatever aren’t even meant for the United States. They’re meant for Western Europe, and they’re not Venezuelan drugs.

Venezuela is the transshipment point for drugs coming from Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador. So I just don’t see why this President, especially, is considering a war of choice.’

‘Venezuela is a huge country. It’s bigger than Ukraine. It’s a large, very large country. And it has connections. You know, I for a period lived in Colombia and you know, it’s quite likely that there are militia waiting to join in on the borders. What are they going to do? Decapitate the government? Bombing it or invading it or kidnapping it? I don’t know.

But when the FT says they’re unprepared, this is just psy-ops to say this is an easy war, we will take all that oil and gas and natural resources, and it’ll be folded into the United States.

I mean what I think this is about is that the Trump team has made it very clear and sent sort of very clear messages to those receiving, saying from the southernmost tip of Argentina to the Arctic, this is all going to be folded into the new US Western hemisphere sphere of interest.

So all of this is part of that, but it’s also part of the US financial crisis. They’ve got a shadow banking system which is now 50% of the credit, which is 50% of total credit given from America, dwarfing almost the conventional deregulated banking system.

This is unregulated, is over-leveraged and as the economist from the BIS just said the other day, this is half of the credit given out and we haven’t a clue what’s going on there.

In the regulated system we’ve got an idea of what’s going on in the banks, but in the shadow banking system which is now half of the total, we don’t have an idea what’s going on there.’

There’s no understanding of history, there’s no understanding of the societies and the cultures of these countries. They don’t want us there. And at the CIA, they just don’t understand.

Now, in their defence, the CIA is not a policy agency, it’s a policy support agency. So just like with the invasion of Iraq, if the White House says do it, you have to do it, even if you’re opposed to it on philosophical grounds.

But you’re right, the CIA, the American government in general, just never seems to learn the lesson of invasions gone bad.

It’s easy to invade a country, it’s easy to overthrow its government. It’s exceedingly difficult to take care of things the day after.

And one thing about Venezuela too, as I just said, it would be easy to overthrow the government. We’ve already essentially told Maduro, just get on your plane and run away. Go to Doha, go to Havana, go to Moscow. Just get on the plane and run away…

The point being to put so much pressure on Maduro that he just gets up and runs away.

So to overthrow him, what do you need to do? You need to secure the presidential palace, you need to take over the radio and television stations, you need to control the major intersections in Caracas, but most importantly, you need to have the military on your side.

And the Venezuelan military is on the side of President Maduro.’

I have to tell you, I’m not sanguine that we’ll ever see these files, because this is not a partisan issue. There are Democratic perverts just like there are Republican perverts.

And there are a lot of them in positions of very important power. And so I think that they are going to work together to kill this information, to disappear the information.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is right. Donald Trump said that he would release it. He should release it.

This is what the MAGA base wanted. But I think Trump believes that the MAGA base is more pro-Trump than they are pro-MAGA, and that he could wait this out and win it in the end.
