The media environment in Europe has become so totalitarian that people believe the propaganda that Russia has been struggling to defeat Ukraine…

Russia has the firepower to level Kiev with conventional weapons and cripple all infrastructure if it wanted to, as the Americans did to the entirety of Iraq, and to eliminate the Ukrainian chain of command.

Vladimir Putin subjecting Ukraine to the full might of Russia’s conventional arsenal, as the Americans have done not only to Iraq but a countless list of countries, would be glaringly against his own statements calling the Ukrainian people a brotherly nation.

There has been destruction, but nowhere near the country-collapsing kind of destruction that the US has unleashed countless times.

The constant parroting of a ‘full-scale invasion’ in every article and news broadcast has led masses of people to uncritically believe this falsehood.

Venezuela plays no role in fentanyl production or trafficking. According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Venezuela is not a cocaine-producing country. 

An annual report from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) published in March did not mention Venezuela in the four pages dedicated to cocaine trafficking, citing instead Ecuador, Central America and Mexico.

And yet Russia’s economy still has not imploded as the US’ foreign policy is predicated on.

Russia will not give into sanctions pressure, since the Ukraine proxy war is viewed as existential. Demilitarising Ukraine and eliminating the possibility of NATO expansion or NATO nation troop deployments is an existential objective.

If the US is clueless as to what to do next, focusing on addressing the root causes of the conflict concretely, and forcing Zelensky to abandon his delusional maximalist positions to reach an agreement now, rather than allowing Ukraine’s negotiating position get more and more dire by the day, would probably be a good idea.
