‘We simply don’t have the weapon systems to launch the Tomahawks to give to the Ukrainians. And the same with any of the other weapon systems that have been brought up in the last couple months. The Barracuda missiles, the ERAM missiles, all these various wonder weapons.

And we’ve seen a host, a list of wonder weapons as long as my arm that were supposed to have won this war for Ukraine, whether it be the Abrams tank, the HIMARS missiles, the F16s, et cetera. So it was always a bit of an empty threat.

On a strategic level, they were talking about the tactical, operational levels, the actual conduct of the war, whether or not these weapons would make a difference in the war. But on the strategic picture, what the Tomahawks did do is break open again the question or the grievance that the Russians have had for decades now about the encroachment of American and NATO weapons systems on Russia.

This is one of the core grievances of the war, one of the core issues that Russia has been articulating through successive American administrations. This idea of encirclement, most especially highlighted then by the emplacement of American missile batteries in Poland and Romania. So the Tomahawks brought to the centre again, I think, to the fore this strategic question, this national security imperative that is at the root of Russia’s reasons for this war.

While they were an empty gesture in terms of being a threat, while of course there was an escalatory danger to them, even though they were an empty gesture, we could still have both of those things occurring at the same time. The bigger thing was this exposed again one of the root causes of the war; encirclement of Russia by NATO and the United States.’

-Eliminated illiteracy with 6% of GDP being spent on education

-1 in 3 Venezuelans were enrolled in some form of education program

-Launched Mission Millargo which restored the eyesight of 300,000 Venezuelans

-Venezuela became the Latin American country with the least inequality

The Venezuelan model of development was a rebellion against Washington-imposed neoliberal domination, and a refusal to allow US corporations to dominate the country and extract resources while Venezuelans see no benefits.

Therefore, starting from the Obama Presidency, there has been a concerted effort to destroy the Bolivarian Revolution, in order to ensure the populations of other Latin American countries do not get inspired to rebel as Chavez and Venezuelans did.

27th October 1962: Vasili Arkhipov, the Soviet Vice Admiral who saved the world from nuclear Armageddon

At the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, US warships began dropping depth charges near Soviet B-59 submarine in order to force it to surface, which was armed with a nuclear torpedo.

The submarine had lost contact with Moscow, and two of the officers on board had concluded that World War 3 had begun between the USSR and United States. Two of the three officers agreed to open fire using the nuclear torpedo on the US warships.

Captain Valentin Savitsky wanted to launch, saying “we’re going to blast them now! We will die, but we will sink them all, we will not disgrace our Navy!”

In order for the nuclear torpedo to be launched, all three officers on board had to agree. His dissenting voice of caution, saved the world from nuclear Armageddon.

We avoided nuclear war because of the caution of a single Soviet Vice Admiral in 1962, with a proxy war raging in Ukraine, and NATO weaponry being fired directly into Russia, we may not be so lucky again.

Strongly worded condemnations at emergency sessions of the UN Security Council are meaningless when the US could not care less for any international norms.

It bandies around absolutely bogus charges of narco-trafficking which have been disproved by their own government institutions’ data, in a brazen and naked plan to steal Venezuela’s oil reserves, which are the largest on the planet.

The US government knows most of the world views their narrative on Venezuela as ridiculous, but they don’t care, since they have the force and will to go ahead with their plan for the daylight robbery of Venezuela.

If the powers of the multipolar world such as Russia🇷🇺, China🇨🇳, Brazil🇧🇷 and others do not act as a united front to stop the US’ plans for Venezuela, they may very well be next.
