It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace. President Putin did say, and very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields. Israel did the same with Al-Qaeda in Syria, providing it support to topple Bashar Al-Assad, and now Israel uses the jihadist threat as a pretext to occupy more of Syria.

He went a step further than many Irish Republicans in not only calling for independence from British domination, but also freedom from ‘capitalism, landlords, and financiers’, realising that real independence could only be achieved if Ireland was free from the control of the British Empire’s capitalist class.
He used his position as a trade union leader to use strikes and industrial action as a pathway to a workers’ republic, using the Irish Citizen Army, formed to protect the picket lines and demonstrations of the Irish Transport and General Workers’ Union, as part of the armed struggle against Britain.
Following the failed Easter Rising of 1916 which he helped command, and the brutal crackdown to put down the uprising, James Connolly was executed by Britain, along with six other signatories of Proclamation of the Irish Republic.
The sacrifice of the Irish martyrs, executed or massacred by British forces would not be in vain, inspiring the Irish masses to participate in the struggle against British rule for Irish independence.

Over a span of about 36 to 48 hours, a Lebanese Christian militia known as the Phalangists, allied with and supported by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), entered the predominantly Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila in West Beirut. The massacre involved the systematic killing of a large number of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
Entry into the Camps:
September 16, 1982 (Thursday):
-At around 6:00 PM, the Phalangist militia, under the command of Elie Hobeika, entered the camps.
-The IDF had surrounded the camps, controlling the exits and providing logistical support such as illumination flares throughout the night to facilitate the operation.
