‘Europe cannot stay united without the United States. There is no moral centre in Europe.’

Washington thinks of Europe as a vassal and Europe has no identity other than being a loyal vassal.

Even if Europe wants to put on a loud production of being a sovereign great power, the reality is obvious for all to see:

Europe has no real military strength for the foreseeable future after disarming themselves by arming Ukraine. Even if they go on a rearmament drive, they’ll be filling the pockets of the US military-industrial complex, not their own.

NATO is the US and the US is NATO. If Trump finally has enough with Europe’s intransigence and warmongering, no European NATO alternative will be able to replace it.

For once, Europe has to see things through a sense of realism. Russia is its neighbour and the geography will not change. If Europe wants long-term security, a security architecture which includes its neighbour and involves cooperation is the only way to achieve permanent strategic peace.

Continuing the policy of sustaining a bloc, perhaps without the US, specifically against Russia is asking for the same problems for the next 40 years.
