🇺🇦🇷🇺What could possibly be the logic for Zelensky to reject an immediate ceasefire?

Every single day, Zelensky loses more territory, loses more Ukrainian soldiers as the defensive lines collapse, and his negotiating position with Russia becomes incrementally weaker day after day.

Previously, it was obvious. Zelensky was doing the bidding of Washington, continuing the proxy war to the last Ukrainian and refusing to stop the fighting because it was Biden’s goal to bring Russia to its knees by throwing Ukrainian lives at it.

Now the US under Trump wants no part of this proxy war that has brought us close to World War 3, and is actively trying to end the proxy war as soon as possible through negotiations with Putin.

So who is Zelensky continuing this losing, failed war for? If the answer to that question is for the UK and Europe, the Island of Irrelevancy in the multipolar world, and their continued ambition of trying to use Ukraine to weaken Russia, then Zelensky is more out-of-touch and delusional than previously thought.

Europe is in no position to replace the colossal military and financial assistance provided by the US, and will never be able to. If US assistance completely halts, Ukraine’s military will eventually collapse.

So why would Zelensky waste more Ukrainian lives pursuing an even worse outcome when he could immediately freeze the battle lines and prevent the situation getting any worse?

To put it simply, the decision-making is baffling to say the least.

More delusion. The US🇺🇸 under Trump has already said NATO membership for Ukraine will never happen because it was the reason the proxy war started in the first place.

The US runs NATO, and calls the shots. Talking about NATO membership at the kids’ table with the European vassals will achieve nothing. Zelensky is still hellbent on Ukrainian membership in NATO because it means de facto instant direct conflict between NATO and Russia in Ukraine, and World War 3.

By putting a non-starter on the table such as NATO membership for Ukraine in exchange for elections, Zelensky is just simply delaying calling elections so he can continue to be the Dictator of Ukraine.

The US has provided the overwhelming majority of the military and financial aid to Ukraine, none of the European countries even come close.

Europe has gutted its own industrial base, and has no serious defence-industrial base capable of replacing the amount of weaponry supplied by the United States.

Axios is now reporting that Donald Trump is considering freezing US military aid to Ukraine as the White House grows increasingly fed up of Zelensky’s efforts to keep the proxy war going.

Zelensky would be at best delusional, at worst stupid, to think European military aid could make a difference against Russia. If he had the best interests of the country at heart, he would recognise that Ukraine is losing land every day, is losing more soldiers every day, and its defensive lines in the East are on the brink of collapse.

An immediate ceasefire and the beginning of direct negotiations with Moscow alongside the US would save Ukraine’s situation from getting any worse.

All this talk of ‘plans’ made in London by the UK and European countries are simply irrelevant and are just performative pantomimes for domestic political audiences, trying to convince their own populations that they’re actually doing something of importance and not just complete vassals.

The reality is, they are vassals, and have been for decades by political choice. Whatever their ‘plans’ or ‘demands’ are, Washington will toss them in the bin.

Donald Trump is one of the only leaders in the US or Europe that is actually mourning the loss of young Ukrainian and Russian lives, and says that’s why he wants to bring the proxy war to an end.

While Europe wants to continue the failed proxy war to weaken Russia for as long as it takes, Trump wants to end the carnage and stop the bloodletting. This is why the world is taking the US under Trump seriously on Ukraine, and ignores the circus going on in Europe.
