🇺🇦🇺🇸What we saw yesterday was the real face of the US’ relations with its vassal states since the end of WW2

Normally, publicly there is cordial and warm relations between US Presidents and vassal leaders, talking about defending mutual interests and ‘defending democracy™️’.

What we saw yesterday is what usually happens behind closed doors; US Presidents giving their direct orders to vassal state leaders, humiliating them, and squashing their words of protests and opposition.

All Zelensky had to do was look at the long history of the US using its vassals to achieve its interests, and then unceremoniously discarding them once their usefulness ran out. Saddam Hussein, Manuel Noriega, Ngo Dinh Diem, and others come to mind.

Zelensky blindly swore his loyalty to Washington, fought a proxy war for them to try and weaken Russia at the cost of a million Ukrainian soldiers’ lives, lost territory…and when a new administration realised the proxy war had completely failed in its objectives, he was publicly cast aside.

If Zelensky has any sense left, he would directly negotiate with Moscow and save himself further humiliation.

🇷🇺🇺🇦MUST-WATCH: PUTIN IN 2020 ON UKRAINE:

On whether friendship with Zelensky is possible: ‘Hope dies last, but unfortunately he came back from Paris and asked to restructure the Minsk agreements and that’s concerning.’

On Ukrainian statehood: ‘If a significant portion of the Ukrainian population have decided to embrace their nationality, we have to only respect that and stay in reality. But we should never forget who we are and where we come from. The founding fathers of Ukrainian nationalism never said that Ukrainians had to break relations with Russians. They said Ukraine is multinational and must become a federal state and has to have good relations with Russia. Looks like modern nationalists have forgotten all of this.’

On the goal of Washington to pit Ukraine and Russia against each other: ‘Someone really far away loves dividing Ukraine and Russia. They believe this task must be accomplished. As any union between Ukraine and Russia will create a superpower which will dominate all competition.’

🚨Dr. Dmitri Trenin: Europe has NO CHOICE but to follow Washington on Ukraine🇺🇦, otherwise, they risk REAL WAR with Russia🇷🇺

'The Europeans will have no alternative but to follow Washington. They don't have resources, they don't have the will for an independent security policy or an independent foreign policy. The absence or presence of American backing for their potential risky moves in Ukraine is critical for them. So I think that they will rather not challenge Washington on that issue because Washington will be put in an uncomfortable position, when and if European forces are deployed in Ukraine, and then their locations and their bases are engaged by Russian forces.'

'Washington will face a very difficult challenge and dilemma to respond and involve themselves into a war, a real war with Russia, or abandon its European NATO allies, a choice that President Trump would certainly want to avoid.'

No room for independent thought or action by US vassals, Zelensky should have known this.

🇺🇸🇺🇦In October, Zelensky went to the election battleground state of Pennsylvania accompanied by Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro and a Democrat Senator and Congressman, and conducted a propaganda visit to an ammunition factory which was manufacturing weaponry to be sent to Ukraine.

Republicans at the time were furious and accused him of campaigning for the opposition, which was again repeated by VP J.D. Vance yesterday in the Oval Office.

How things change within a matter of months: In October 2024, Zelensky was still the vassal darling continuing to receive billions of dollars of weaponry for Washington’s proxy war against Russia. Now the vassal has outlived his usefulness, and the new Trump administration recognises the proxy war’s failure, and he was publicly humiliated and cast aside.

The flow of US aid to Ukraine may stop completely, and with it, Zelensky’s regime may completely crumble.

‘Strikes deep inside Russia with European missiles cannot proceed without the support of the nations that have provided those arms. So their figure is on the trigger figuratively and sometimes literally, and that calls for retribution and that calls for retribution.’

‘There have been many persistent voices in Russia that argue that Russia should not only be targeting those Ukrainians that are formally in charge of those missiles, but to deliver payback to those forces in Europe that are behind those arms and intelligence deliveries to Ukraine that enables Ukrainian forces to strike into Russia.’
