-Crimea would still be a part of Russia as it had been since 2014, the fate of eastern Ukraine was to be discussed directly between Putin and Zelensky

-The treaty was to be guaranteed by foreign powers such as the US, China, the UK and France

Instead, Washington ordered Kiev to fight a war of attrition instead, a disastrous decision that has cost hundreds of thousands of lives and more territory lost every day.
