🚨IT DID NOT BEGIN ON OCTOBER 7TH

On this day in 1948, Israeli forces perpetrated the Safsaf Massacre as part of one of their many ethnic cleansing campaigns to establish Israel.

Israeli forces attacked the Palestinian village in order to establish control of and occupy the entire Galilee. Between 50-70 villagers were massacred.

The evidence suggests that between 50-70 men had their hands tied, were shot and killed, and were buried in a pit. Several women were raped, a 14-year-old girl was raped by Israeli soldiers and then subsequently murdered.

Yosef Nacani, a Senior Officer in the Zionist Haganah wrote the following in his diary after the massacre:

"In Safsaf, after...the inhabitants had raised a white flag, the [soldiers] collected and separated the men and women, tied the hands of fifty-sixty fellahin [peasants] and shot and killed them and buried them in a pit. Also, they raped several women..."

After listing alleged atrocities in other villages; Eilaboun, Farradiyya, and Saliha, Nachmani wrote: "Where did they come by such a measure of cruelty, like Nazis?

According to Nafez Hazzal, who interviewed the survivors of the massacre, one villager told him:

“As we lined up, a few Jewish soldiers ordered four girls to accompany them to carry water for the soldiers. Instead, they took them to our empty houses and raped them. About seventy of our men were blindfolded and shot to death, one after the other, in front of us. The soldiers took their bodies and threw them on the cement covering of the village's spring and dumped sand on them."

UK🇬🇧 Foreign Secretary David Lammy outrageously denies that Israel is perpetrating a genocide in Gaza, and says calling it a genocide ‘undermines the seriousness of the term.’

A member of Netanyahu’s cabinet gleefully announced ‘we are rolling out the Gaza Nakba’ in 2023, and countless other quotes from Israeli officials reveal genocidal intent.

Article 2 of the Genocide Convention exposes Lammy’s lies when he implies that the definition of a genocide is dependent on the numbers of people killed. The article clearly says it is the intent of the perpetrator and the actions of the perpetrator that matter when defining a genocide.
