Russia🇷🇺 is reportedly close to starting trials of using cryptocurrency for cross-border payments:

Bloomberg has reported that the trials will start on September 1st according to its sources. Russia will use the National Payment Card System for swapping between rubles and cryptocurrencies when testing payments and the exchange platform
