Amid rising tensions in ๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine, ๐ท๐บ Russia and the ๐บ๐ธ United States will take part in ๐ฎ๐ณ India's largest naval exercise, Milan.
Milan (literally "meeting") is a biennial multilateral naval exercise conducted by the Indian Navy. For the first time they are held in Visakhapatnam instead of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Visakhapatnam was chosen as the venue for this year due to the scale of the exercises. They will involve a large number of ships and will require more anchorage and a wider sea.
Both Russia and the United States have confirmed their participation in Milan 2022, which will take place from February 26 to March 4. It is not yet clear whether both countries will send their ships or participate through representatives of the navy. A total of 46 countries were invited to the exercise, of which more than 35 confirmed participation, while the rest answered โpositivelyโ. On Friday, February 11, another batch of three H125 helicopters, manufactured by Airbus Helicopters, arrived in Ukraine, which will serve in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Photos of helicopters with tail numbers 43, 44 and 58 "blue" and temporary registration F-WMXQ, F-WMXL and F-WMXM, were published in Lviv by aviation photographer Alexei Trenin.
The helicopters are equipped with satellite transmitters, loudspeakers, digital communication systems, specialized aircraft searchlights, Flir high resolution cameras, electric winches and emergency buoyancy equipment.
In total, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine will receive 24 such vehicles in different configurations, which will be built in two squadrons.
