The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said two journalists who worked for it were detained in Afghanistan.
“In Kabul, two journalists were detained who were on assignment from the UNHCR, and Afghan citizens who worked with them. We are doing everything we can to resolve the situation,” the statement said.
The organization stressed that they would not comment further, "given the nature of the situation."
