So I decided to do a user test on the COVID-19 App this morning which was launched by Bawumia the Vice President of Ghana where he said the COVID-19 App is the best.😏

Now let me take you through the process.

1. After installing the app and launching it, I was asked to allow the App access my device location. I'm sure the essence is to pick my GPS location so that in case I have the virus, they can track me. I decided to deny that access, but the app allowed me to move to the next page (pix 1)😢

2. The next page was for me to enter my phone number and email and agree to the terms and conditions. (pix 2) ✌️

3. So I decided to enter 0000000000 as phone number and G.bn as my email and checked the T&C box. I clicked proceed and hurrayyyy I am in the system to answer questions (pix 3). This is shameful. 😔

4. I proceeded to answer the COVID-19 questions ( pix 4, 5, 6 & 7). To test the system, I answered Yes for most questions except few. 😂

5. After submitting my information, I was taken to another page for this information "Based on the symptoms reported, your current risk of having COVID-19 is very high. Remain calm, quarantine yourself and call Ghana Health Service helpline 112" (pix 8). I was like how ? 🤔

6. Finally, I clicked next, and another page came for me to share the App (pix 9). I'm done. Like seriously? 😜

Conclusion:
Whoever developed this App should be arrested immediately. This is a BOMB. How can you allow me to go through a system after I have provided 00000000 as my phone number and G.nb as my email? No validation? Useless App like this, and when you talk, they will do a live video to insult you.

Consultation in systems development is very critical. We have just wasted the taxpayers money on this useless thing. I still dont want to believe we paid 500,000cedis for this useless thing. I don't want to believe it 🙊🙊

So let me ask since the app is not on play store and iOS, how do users receive an update? We seriously need a Minister For Common Sense in this government, and it should be given to Chairman Wontumi.
