This is where I'll post updates about GearWatch, the gear wishlist + collection app I'm building. New features, fixes, sneak peeks of stuff I'm working on.

I've been building a little app for us gear nerds, and I'm looking for more people to try it out:
👀 Wishlist:
rank what you want next, and it checks prices and tells you when something drops
💛 Collection:
everything you own, with materials (latex thickness too!), what you paid, and how often you wear it
👗 Outfits:
put your pieces together into fits and share them
📏 Size check:
keep your measurements next to your gear
🐾 Friends & stories:
see what your friends added or wore, react and reply
🔒 Your stuff stays private.
Only friends you accept can see your lists and photos, and you can delete your account any time.
It runs in your browser, so there's nothing to install (you can add it to your home screen if you want).

GearWatch update:
Home, notifications and more
Home 🏠
GearWatch now opens on your feed. Stories are at the top, with your friends' new gear, packages and outfits below. The camera button posts a story and the bell shows your notifications.
Phone notifications 🔔
Get notified when someone sends you a friend request, accepts yours, or reacts to or replies to your story. Tap one and it opens right on it.
To turn them on (iPhone):
If GearWatch is already on your Home Screen, remove it and add it again (Share → Add to Home Screen).
Open GearWatch from the Home Screen icon.
Tap the bell on Home → Turn on → Allow.
My size 📏
Measurements and size check are now one tab. Measure right in the app with how-to tips, and see your old numbers next to the new ones.
Brand comparison shows your best size at each brand.
Also new
Video stories: preview with sound and trim on a frame strip
Captions wait until the photo has loaded

Did you know? 👀
You can tag every piece of your outfit right on the photo.
Open an outfit, tap Edit, then tap the spot where each piece is: the hood, collar, harness, suit. Pick the item from your collection and a tag sticks to that spot.
When friends look at your outfit they can tap any tag to see the item, brand and price, and add it to their own wishlist in one tap. No more "where's that from?" in your DMs 😄
You'll also see how many pieces the outfit has, its total value, and when you last wore it.

Open an item on your wishlist and tap “+ Add another shop”. ➕
GearWatch checks every shop for you and shows the cheapest, converted so they’re easy to compare.
Your budget and price-drop alerts use the cheapest shop too.

New in GearWatch:
you can now help build the catalog 🥳
Add something with a shop link and you'll be asked if it should go in the catalog.
Fill in the sizes and colours the shop offers, and a moderator only has to approve it.
Typing a name now shows matching items that are already there, so the same thing doesn't end up in the catalog twice. ‼️
And if you own the same item in another colour or size, open it in your collection and tap + Collection to add it again. 😎
