🇰🇬 Emergency Situation Due to Mudflows in Kyrgyzstan

‼️ Early on July 10, 2024, mudflows caused by heavy rainfall completely blocked traffic on the Osh — Batken — Razzakov highway, creating serious problems for transportation and residents of the region. By evening, the mudflows reached the village of Ak-Tatyr, flooding residential homes, roads, and agricultural fields.

🆘 In response to the threat to residents, Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) began evacuating the population. A total of 137 people were evacuated, with a majority being children.

⚠️ Rescue teams and MES personnel are currently active at the scene, addressing the aftermath of the mudflows.
