🇧🇷 Dust devil sweeps through Goiatuba, Brazil

🌪 On July 27, 2025, an impressive dust devil formed over the city of Goiatuba, in the Brazilian state of Goiás. A video captured by witnesses shows a massive swirling column lifting dust and debris as it moves across an open field toward the city.

‼️ These phenomena, known as “dust devils” (*diabos de polvo*), typically form when the ground heats up rapidly and rising hot air creates a rotating column. While most are harmless, some — especially under hot and dry conditions — can grow large enough to cause damage.

🇮🇹 Massive Waterspout Off the Coast of Emilia-Romagna, Italy

🌪 On August 3, 2026, a spectacular waterspout was spotted off the coast of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region.
🌊 The stunning phenomenon was captured on video by Nicola Carli and shared on the *Meteoroby* page.

⚠️ In recent years, waterspouts have been appearing more frequently over seas and lakes. While they rarely used to reach land or cause significant damage, a concerning trend is emerging: more and more of these vortices are making landfall, sometimes bringing destruction. Social media is increasingly filled with footage of such events, reflecting changing weather patterns and growing public attention to these natural occurrences.
