🇨🇴 Powerful Earthquake Strikes Colombia

🔴 On Sunday, June 8, a strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck central Colombia. The epicenter was located 16 km northeast of Paratebueno, Cundinamarca Department, at a shallow depth of just 9 km. The quake was widely felt, including in the cities of Villavicencio and Yopal.

⚠️ Due to its shallow depth, the earthquake had a stronger impact near the epicenter. Reports indicate damage to buildings and infrastructure, including the collapse of a residence and cracks on a road in the area of Santa Cecilia, between Villavicencio and Yopal. At least four people have been reported injured.

‼️ Several aftershocks have occurred following the main quake.
