🌋 Early in the morning on April 28, 2025, at 4:36 a.m., a phreatic (steam-driven) eruption occurred at Mount Bulusan (Sorsogon Province, Luzon Island, Philippines), lasting approximately 24 minutes. The ash plume rose up to 4,500 meters and drifted toward the western areas. Ashfall up to 1 mm thick was recorded in the municipalities of Irosin, Juban, and Magallanes.

A total of 89 volcanic earthquakes were recorded on the day of the eruption and the day before, indicating heightened volcanic activity.

Access to the 4-kilometer danger zone around the crater is strictly prohibited. Residents are advised to wear masks to protect against ash inhalation.
